Be Aware Of The Beneficial Wii Extras

by Alayna Sak

If you like consoles with a lot of useless peripherals, you've probably got a Nintendo Wii. You'll find it has a peripheral device to be added to the Wii remote, for literally any useless function that you could imagine. Whether it's plastic bats or plastic balls, you can turn your remote into anything.

You're going to find that one of the most common is the plastic attachment that you can put your Wii mote into, to make them look like any number of sport or other types of devices.

However, adding a bat to the end of your controller is not going to make you better at a Wii baseball game, it's just going to extend your controller an additional few feet making it more likely you'll hit someone or something when you swing.

But what do you actually get out of them? Nothing. They are simply large pieces of plastic that attach to your Wii remote, and don't provide you with any type of advantage when playing the game.

There are good peripherals for the Nintendo Wii, but you've got to know how to spot those that aren't going to give you anything, compared to those that will provide you with a great experience on the console.

What you're going to find is that some can actually make playing games easier. If you're a big fan of rail shooters, it can be hard to hold the wii remote like a gun while you're shooting things on screen.

Don't fall into those decoys, because nothing is going to help you play Wii better than the normal controller that comes with the console. Everything else is really just lying to you so that you'll spend your money.

The only thing that makes you a better Wii player is practice playing Wii games. Just like anything else in life, practice makes perfect, there's no magical piece of plastic that's going to practice for you.
