Great For The Price - Antivirus Scan Software Review
What I like about this product is that every time you visit a website it tells you if that particular website is safe or not. It's always cheaper to purchase this item through Amazon than upgrade it through Norton. The virus signature and upgrades are downloaded in small size files in the background. So you do not feel it running in the background even in some older computers. Now, with any software programs, there are those nefarious characters that want to invade and steal information from computers everywhere. Norton's Internet Security has an uncanny sense to know the good guys from the bad, thus keeping your computer safe. It's really disappointing because I had great results with Norton last year. I upgraded from Norton's 2010 version to the version. The good is that this Norton version seems to do a good job keeping viruses away but the bad part is that it seems to use up a lot of ram memory so it is a bit taxing on the system. Sometimes when I am using my computer, I notice that it is going a bit slow, and then I discover that this Norton program is in the middle of some big maintenance cycle, again ugh!
It was so easy to install and actually easier and more effective than other versions I have used. I am a die-hard fan of Norton because of the quality of their products and would recommend this product to anyone looking for a good Internet Security software.
Its firewall protection is second to none, and at least once a night it detects and blocks an unwanted internet intrusion on my computer. It is really set and forget with Norton Internet Security.
In some cases, it just sapped too much of the computer's resources. In at least one case, it basically slowed my machine to a stop. It even alerts you if someone is trying to use your home network by blocking them out, preventing them access. Trojan virus attacks, unauthorized network use, scams, and malicious wed attacks are being prevented and fixed without slowing your computer performance with this program. I was in disbelief at their arrogance and incompetence. They spent 6 hours making something terrible worse and then had the gall to tell me to see a technician, when everything ran fine before I loaded their software?
if they continue to build a quality product I'll keep buying. Product came in excellent condition, installed on my pc and working perfect.
I really like the storage and automatic entry of log on info for various sites. It is always better to buy a new program than to renew however. At about $10 per computer (for 3 PCs), it's a bargain. I always recommend using a second on-demand product (such as Malaware Bytes AntiMalware or Super AntiSpyware Remover) occasionally.
After reading the reviews I decided to purchase Norton and give it another go - the program has really sped up my computer - works great! Also - the price here on Amazon is unbeatable. After that it wouldn't do anything except update itself. I could run the activation again, and could see on their website that I was registered, but it still said it was expired.
