Kindle HD Review
The new Kindle Fire HD is a very competitively priced Android powered tablet. The new Fire HD has an upgraded High Definition screen. The 7" comes in 1280x800 (720P) and the 8.9" comes in 1920x1200 (1080P). Glare has been reduced in this model by laminating the LCD and touch screen into one piece of glass, making your experience in high light environments more enjoyable.
There are several different models you can get them in: 16GB, 32GB and 64GB. The 64GB is only available in the 4G model. The sound on these models is produced with dual stereo speakers. This allows for an enjoyable listening experience. The new Kindle also automatically adjusts to what activity you are doing such as watching a movie or making a Skype call to produce optimal sound. It has been noted by many that the sound remains undistorted even at the highest of audio levels.
Connect using the new dual band antenna or 4G LTE. This is the first tablet to use the dual band antenna and using MIMO (multiple input multiple output) technology, allowing you to transmit and receive on both antennas at the same time, increasing streaming media bandwidth by over 40%. And in case you want to wonder far away from your hot spot this tablet has the ability to switch between the 2.4ghz and the 5ghz bandwidths. If 4G service is not available in your area the tablet is compatible with 10 other bands and has the ability to switch in between these. At&T offers the 4G service for 49.99 for the first year.
The multitasking and gaming on this new tablet is seamless, this is accomplished using the dual core 1.2ghz processor in the 7" version and a dual core 1.5ghz in the 8.9 model accompanied by the Imagination SGX544 graphics core.
The Kindle fire HD has grown from an e-book reader into a full blown tablet capable of not only reading the newest books, but also playing your favorite TV shows, movies and games from anywhere in the world.
At 199.99 for the 7", you truly are getting the most bang for you buck with the Kindle Fire HD.
