New gadgets appear and some people can't resist buying them. There are a lot of people that have gathered information on the iPad, but some are still cautious. Opinions vary with many people that own this device, on whether or not there is a right or wrong answer to get one. Below we'll be looking at some of the reasons people have either praised or criticized the iPad.

With this device you don't need to have headphones to listen to music or watch videos. Of course, in many instances you may prefer to use headphones, as it gives you privacy and prevents the sounds from disturbing others in a public place. It is however convenient to be able to share with others when watching movies or video clips though.

For improved sound quality consider buying external speakers too.

The good news is that if you currently use an iPhone a lot of the applications will work on the iPad as well. You can easily synch apps from your iPhone or iPod to your iPad. There are well over 100,000 apps for these devices, and the number keeps growing. These diverse applications allow you to expand the uses of your iPad and access all kinds of information, magazines, games, services and more. Inexpensive apps are plentiful for Apple products and you can actually find a lot for free.

Lots of people want to get an iPad right now but are hesitant because they are waiting for the new version to come out or the price to drop. Nobody knows when the next iPad will be released and there is already buzz about the new features and improvements Apple will make. The current iPad will decrease in price only when the new generation model is available for purchase. If you want the features which iPad currently offers, waiting for a new version may not be the best strategy.

The fact is that this device is fun and fascinating. The decision to buy one is yours. We've given you the pros and cons to consider. One thing that's fairly certain is that Apple will come up with upgrades that will fill in some of the gaps found in the first generation of iPads.
